Prospective vendors and buyers are advised that the next goat sale at Dubbo will be held at the Troy Selling Complex on Tuesday February 7.
The auction commences at 11am with all animals to be drafted and penned prior to 9am for buyers inspection.
Co-ordinators for the sale expect the offering to exceed 3000 head.

The Munna Wiltipoll Sale at Coolah on account of Jill and Harry Powell will be held on Saturday February 18 with viewing from 9am. The auction will start at 11am.
The sale this year will be expanded to include 100 second and third cross commercial ewes to be sold in suitable lines.
The sale will offer 76 regular stud ewes (full pedigree) A1 ewes ranging in age from 2008 to 2010 drop. Also available will be 20 regular stud (full pedigree) rams 2010 drop.
This year due to flock rebuilding Neil and Anne Kennedy "Yuma" Coonamble will not be represented at the sale.

Narromine Store Sheep Selling Centre held their biggest sale for a long time when agents fielded consignment totalling 30,000 on Wednesday January 18.
A huge crowd of very competitive purchasers were on hand, drawn in the main from the central and northern tablelands.
There was virtually no support from the deep south or Victoria and only limited support from the locals.
Some quotes included: First cross ewes, 1-1/2 years, 100 per cent scanned to Poll Dorset rams topped the sales at $261.
The best of the 1-1/2 year old first cross ewes, NSM sold in the range of $152 to $206.
The best of the 2011 autumn drop first cross ewes reached $220 (twice).
The balance of the top end of young first cross ewes sold from $182 to $216.
The plainer end of the first cross ewes sold from $130 to $164.
Store lambs sold to a cheaper trend probably in line with the physical market. This category sold from $46 to $98.
Good Merino ewes were keenly sought with the older variety enjoying the best end of the market. the best young ewes reached $200. Merino ewes 2007 drop outstanding quality, June shorn, NSM sold for $202. The cheapest pen of Merino ewes reached $65.

All those cattle producers who are currently watching the beef market soften somewhat take heart.
My people tell me there will be more good times in 2012 for beef producers than bad times.
With so many graziers now turning their thoughts to wool and lamb production a genuine cattle producer hopefully will enjoy a genuine surge in beef prices as numbers particularly in NSW and Victoria continue to decline.
