The Australian National Field Days not only brings quality products and exceptional services to the community's attention, it also provides an ideal setting for partnerships to develop, such as the one formed between Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) and the National Grower Register (NGR).
Joining forces in Orange for the field day, members of both organisations took time to discuss the importance of helping to support seriously ill children and their families.
Not only has RMHC contributed to the rural communities, McDonald's Australia, who pays all administration costs for the charity so that every dollar donated goes directly to RMHC programs, has been supporting Australian suppliers for 40 years.
"McDonald's Australia indirectly and directly purchase large volumes of rural produce that is used in everything from salads through to their burgers and fries, so we truly have a connection to McDonald's and RMHC; and we hope all of our members will take this opportunity to repay this support and acknowledge the important roles the RMHC plays in Australian Agriculture," NGR General Manager Debbie Newmarch said when releasing the information recently.
RMHC is this year celebrating its 30 year anniversary in Australia and is excited to take advantage of this additional support from NGR who is helping the organisation expand its programs for the coming years to meet demand from families of seriously ill children.
"The support provided by the National Growers Register across the country over the coming months will certainly help our fundraising efforts and, given our strong ties with the land, we couldn't be happier with the connections we have developed with both growers and buyers of the industry," Ronald McDonald House Charities CEO Malcolm Coutts said.
