Elders staff from across northern NSW and southern Queensland gathered in Dubbo for the two-day northern zone Elders Wool Conference on February 16 and 17.
Elders staff from across the board were addressing topics such as products, treatment and livestock, the current market situation and forward marketing options for growers.
The aim of the conference was to not only meet with fellow Elders consultants but also to spread wool industry knowledge and expertise throughout the company so consultants were better able to advise their clients.
Elders national wool manager Andrew Dennis said it was always good to get everyone together.
"It's a networking opportunity for wool staff," Mr Dennis said.
The conference also provided a good opportunity to promote products with a spokesperson from Coopers Animal Health providing information to Elders staff about new products available to growers to assist with one of the largest issues in the industry- lice.
"It essentially covers topics regarding everything Elders offers to growers," he said.
Spokespeople from various regions in the northern zone provided an insight into the happenings within their area and expressed any concerns fellow Elders staff might be able to assist with.
Mr Dennis said there were technical salespeople from Sydney in attendance who managed the wool sales.
"By having these people here staff can ask them questions or express concerns their growers may have and be able to answer those for growers after speaking with these salepeople here (at the conference)," he said.
