Cane toad menace in Mount Gambier
3:30 PM | ONE of Australia's worst animal pests, the cane toad, has been found on the building site of the Woolworths shopping complex on Penola Road.
2:22 PM | The John Pirie Secondary School is building the scientists and mathematicians of the future. A group of 40 students from Years 9 and 10 visited UniSA at Mawson Lakes recently as part of the school’s University Pathways program with emphasis on maths and science.
Down every street appeal
12:38 PM | Volunteers for Novita are knocking on doors in Port Augusta asking for donations for the Down Every Street Appeal. The donations go towards providing equipment for children with a disability in Port Augusta and surrounding towns. Local optometrist Mitch Hancock, of Gulf & Ranges Optometrists kick started the campaign with a $1000 donation to Novita.
