Held at the Dubbo Showgrounds on Wednesday, the event - now in its 13th year - had more than 170 Dorper and White Dorper ewes and rams registered for the prestigious sale.
Adrian Veitch, Kaya Stud, Narrogin, Western Australia took home the top two selling priced rams with Kaya 130153 selling for $20,000 and Kaya 130064 $18,000.
"I knew they were going to do well but that as well as they did," he said.
Dubbo Landmark agent John Settree said it was a strong sale.
"There were buyers from all over Australia and the quality of sheep was very high," he said.
Mr Settree said although crowd numbers were similar to last years sale he was pleased with the turn out.
"The sale establishes Dorpers as a real mainline breed in the sheep industry," he said. The third highest selling ram went to Mark Gett, Whynott Stud, Narrabri, NSW, with Whynot 130089.
The ram was bought by Christo and Marietjie Harmse, Castlebar White Dorpers, Roseglass, Gunnedah, NSW.
Mr Gett said the selling price of $18,000 was 'worth it'.
"He (the ram) will take a lot of studs forward," Mr Gett said.
"I was so impressed I had my reservations about selling him."
