The weather may have been damp but the spirits certainly weren’t as horses and riders rode through the week at Young Pony Club’s annual Pony Camp.

About 160 horse and rider combinations took part in the five days of fun, friendships and fresh air at the Young Showground and Young Pony Club grounds.

Riders days were split up into several activities that included showjumping, dressage, sporting and mounted games, campdrafting, polocrosse, cross country, ring work, equine theory as well as many more.

The kids and their ponies received special visits from a national champion barrel racer as well as Grand Prix dressage and 2* eventing superstar Megan Bryant from Cowra with one of her horses Mr Jackson as well as many other instructors over the week.

With sleep outs a disco and great food there will no doubt be some very tired children, horses and parents this weekend, but everyone said they cannot wait for the camp to come around again next year.
