Oberon Rodeo set to be great event on November 30

The Oberon Rodeo is back on November 30, with more excitement than ever before, with the RM Williams Longhorn Express making its first stop in Oberon for the event.

In its second year since the re-launch, the Oberon rodeo is bigger and better than ever.

Oberon Rodeo Association Inc. secretary Bree Rowlandson said there's something for everyone.

"There is a full rodeo program with events starting at 10am. This year the RM Williams Longhorn Express will make its first ever stop in Oberon. We'll have Big Al the rodeo clown to keep the crowd entertained during the day and the PBOZ double-decker bus is coming back with their store and mechanical bull," she said.

Ms Rowlandson said there's a lot more for the kids this year than last year.

"There will be pony rides, a jumping castle, laughing clowns and face painting for the kids," she said.

There will also be plenty of entertainment after the rodeo.

"The entertainment after the rodeo will kick off with local Mickey Pye and his band and the 2013 Toyota Star Maker Winner, Kaylee Bell will also be performing,"

The Association Committee are hoping the rain will stay away this year at the Oberon Showground so it can be a bigger and better show than last year.

"We hope we can get a bigger crowd on the hill to enjoy the day," she said, "Last year we had 900 through the gate. We had just short of 200 competitors last year and this year there is looking to be more due to the fact it is the last day of the ABCRA points season and there are a lot of competitors chasing points."

To be a part of all the fun and action at the Oberon Rodeo, make sure you're at the Oberon Showground on November 30.
