Labor spokesperson for Barwon, Daniel Mookhey spent Monday afternoon strolling down town Pangee street and meeting local business owners, councillors and the Big Bogan.
Nyngan was the first day of Mr Mookhey’s ‘week long tour of the west’.
Along with Nyngan, he plans on visiting Cobar, Warren, Bourke, Brewarrina, Walgett and Coonamble to talk to farmers, councillors, residents and small business owners and environmentalists about various issues in western NSW.
Mr Mookhey said it was a pleasure to meet with the mayor and local residents.
"It was a pleasure visiting Nyngan as part of my week-long trip through Western NSW,” he said.
"I had the opportunity to meet with the Mayor and local residents and learn more about the issues facing residents and businesses. Everyone is feeling the pain of rising energy prices on their quarterly bills or the cost of goods and services.”
Mr Mookhey said this is the first of many similar tours and he looks forward to giving updates from the trip.
