Farmers, local residents and Ministers were part of the 500 strong crowd in Coonamble on Saturday who gathered together for a community forum to talk about the proposed Western Slopes Pipeline.
The forum was an opportunity for affected people from Pilliga, Coonamble, Warren, Tottenham and Condobolin to discuss how the community will work together to oppose the pipeline.
The pipeline would connect to the Narrabri gasfield.
Coonamble Shire is 96 per cent opposed to coal seam gas.
The town called for help from around the state and beyond. The forum featured speakers who have locked their gates to mining companies. Despite an invitation, Member for Dubbo Troy Grant, Member for Barwon Kevin Humphries were absent.
