Cr Lesslie said he would have welcomed the opportunity to greet the Premier on Wednesday.
“One of the things I do enjoy is the ceremonial aspect of welcoming distinguished guests to Lithgow,” Cr Lesslie said.
On top of having the honour of welcoming the Premier, Cr Lesslie said there plenty of pressing issues that he would have liked to have had the chance to raise.
Cr Lesslie had a list prepared – a very lengthy list – including funding for Lithgow’s arterial road network, the future of Wallerawang power station, the decision to locate the state’s rail maintenance depot at Dubbo and Lithgow’s future transition from coal.
“I also would have taken the opportunity to invite her to Halloween at Lithgow,” he said.
Cr Lesslie said the lack of an invitation baffled him.
“I wasn't invited because… I don’t know why. I think it’s silly,” he said.
The office of Bathurst MP Paul Toole was approached for comment.
