A FARM education week not only helped educate some of the youngest Bathurst citizens, but it resulted in a swag of donations for farmers.
Milestones Early Learning Centre’s farm week involved a swag of activities but also called on parents to make donations of grocery items which would then be passed on to farmers.
Centre director Bradley Campbell said Milestones was grateful for the wholehearted support of their families in the quantity and quality of the items they donated.
“Our local farmers are the providers for our cities – now they are in need due to the drought, and we are proud to step up and give them a hand,” he said.
Recently, the centre teamed up with Rural Aid ambassadors Grant and Chezzi Denyer to drop off some of the donated items to Rockley Mount grazier Ann Fragar.
