Registrations are now open for Bathurst Regional Council's Driving for Drought 1000 fundraiser at Mount Panorama on Sunday, October 28.
The event is looking to bring 1000 cars to Mount Panorama – down from the original plan for 2000 cars – to set a track record for the most number of cars moving on the iconic race circuit.
Registration is $50 per car and all funds raised will be donated to Buy a Bale.

Mayor Graeme Hanger said the initiative would help support farmers and their families who have been affected by the drought.
“I urge those who want to get involved in this wonderful event to be quick,” Cr Hanger said.
“There is a strict limit of 1000 places available so register online today.”
