According to the Narromine Shire Council a music festival celebrating all things Dolly is on the cards, however it needs community support to help get the event going.
The Council are hosting a community meeting for interested members of the Shire to form a committee to help drive the “next big event” in the region.

Economic Development and Communications Officer at the Council Kelly McCutcheon said the idea was raised through economic development group meetings.
“Dolly was a popular choice because of the themes, songs and movies,” Mrs McCutcheon said.
“Narromine’s Susie Rae is the main driver that this point,” she said.
The Council said they hope that events held locally will enhance Narromine’s visitor offering and help boost local economy.
The community meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 11 at the Narromine Shire Council Chambers from 5pm.
