Authorities have recovered the body of an 86-year-old man from a house fire at Lightning Ridge in the state’s north-west. Emergency services were called at 10am on Thursday to a home on Lorne Road that was well alight. Police found the body after the blaze was extinguished. Police will be preparing a report for the coroner.
