There was plenty of glitz and glamour at the 2019 Scone Cup recently.
Thousands of people headed to the Hunter Valley track for its city class program on May 10-11.
Sydney hoop, Sam Clipperton combined with training partners Richard and Michael Freedman, to win the $180,000 Darley Scone Cup-LR aboard Special Missile.
It was a worthwhile trip for Clipperton, who also won the $180,000 Dark Jewel Classic-G3 on Con Te Partiro, on the second day of the carnival.
While it was Clipperton's first win for new Sydney training duo, Special Missile's win gave the hoop his second win in the Scone Cup.
