Dubbo agents have set, what is believed to be, a new national record price for Merino lambs at Monday's July 8 weekly sheep and lamb sale.

This run of Merinos sold for $277.50/hd, and is believed to be a new national record price.

Local agents CPS Thomas Ballhausen and Irvine sold this run of 222 Merino lambs on behalf of the Zell family, "Widgerie", Tooraweenah.

The lambs weighed up to 90 kilograms live weight, and averaged 74kg.

They were Glendemar Multi Purpose Merino blood.
