Despite drought gripping the state, Ag Expo President Jerry Jenkins said the Expo is now in its 27th year and is shaping up to be one of the best yet with 166 exhibitors over 211 sites.
"Our numbers are pretty much on par with last year, it might be slightly down due to the current climate, but we've got some fantastic new exhibitors that have come on board and provide a lot more variety than what we've had in past years," he said.
While exhibitors know it's not the best year to make sales, Mr Jenkins said the event not only supports people through the good times, they're able to network and liaise with clients through the tough times as well.

The Ag Expo began back in 1992 with just four exhibitors, now the event hosts a variety of products and services from the latest in farming techniques and technology, through to craft and good food and wine products.
Mr Jenkins is encouraging people to come along, not only to catch up with friends, but to check out the variety on offer in our region.
A popular event that is returning after a long hiatus is the dog trials which commences the Friday afternoon and all day Saturday.
"The sports shear is on once again, and even in these difficult times we've been able to find some great locals to sponsor the sheep for both the dog trial and the sports shear, which has been tough with the drought trying to find sheep suitable for being yarded and shorn, so that's been a pretty good thing," he said.
"We've got some more car dealerships from the western area that are going to be exhibiting .. the show n shine again, the fire brigade will be doing their normal exhibit and demonstrations on cutting up cars over the course of the day.
Mr Jenkins said they will also have a display of a Shell V8 Supercar, which will be a highlight for motoring enthusiasts.
He said there is also a number of sheep studs and cattle exhibiting again.
"It's a pretty good variety of everything from clothing, gift wear, machinery, education, arts and crafts, food and wine," Mr Jenkins said.
"We also have our local entertainment with Royden Donohue again, so there's a bit for everyone."
Mr Jenkins said a drawcard for the Expo this year is the number of prizes up for grabs for people and exhibitors.
"We've got almost $5000 worth of prizes from iPads, kids gate entry prizes, there's lots for everyone, even Uncle Pete's Toys have put a lot of prizes up for kids," he said.
The president thanked the committee for their work bringing it together, and the exhibitors and sponsors for their support.
"I'm really proud of our exhibitors that are sticking with the Expo and helping us make it happen this year, and our hard-working Expo committee that's helped bring it all together," he said.
The Ag Expo will be at the Nyngan Showground on Saturday, August 3, from 9am.
Tickets are $10 and free for those under 15 years.
