POLICE are calling for help from the public following the theft of around 130 goats from a property.

Officers from Walgett say the theft occurred at a property at the northern end of Narran Lake Road in Walgett sometime between July 25 and August 3.
"Quad bike tyre tracks were located on the property where the goats were rounded up by offenders," officers said in a statement.
Officers from Walgett and the Central North Police District have called on anyone with information to come forward.
