SPECIALISING in agricultural education, Yanco Agricultural High School is a public co-educational residential high school that connects kids to the country.

From years 7-12, the weekly or full-time boarding students are provided with a broad, well balanced curriculum in a rural setting situated beside the Murrumbidgee River - just outside Leeton in the Riverina.

The school covers 280 hectares, including 180 hectares of intensive irrigation and dry land agriculture, as well as 60 hectares of natural bushland boarded by the Murrumbidgee. For those students who come from farming properties, Yanco is a home away from home.

The school runs both sheep and cattle studs and for these taking equine subjects, students are able to stable their horse at the school.

Prospective year seven students sit the Selective High School Placement Test in year six. Students entering years 8-12 should apply directly to the school, applications are accepted midyear, although requests outside this may be considered.
