The Dubbo Ranch Sorting has finished for another year, when the 2019 competition wrapped up over the weekend.
The western-style equestrian sport caters for riders of all abilities from beginner to the seasoned and expert horse person.
It sees riders race against the clock as they separate cattle into pens.
The first ever event was held at the Dubbo Showgrounds in 2016 and has since grown in popularity, both with competitors and spectator numbers during that time.
Over the first two year's three events were held over the 12 months, but in 2018 and again in 2019 organisers decided to add one more competition due to growing popularity.
People travel from across the central west and as far as Sydney, Tamworth and Bourke to compete.
Ranch Sorting Dubbo secretary Cindy Henderson, who also won the women's highest point scorer, said the final competition of 2019 was "fantastic" and that it ran really well.
"It's great that it's getting out there and people are able to come along and just enjoy their horses and have fun," she said.
"With Ranch Sorting yes there's a competitive side but there's also a very good social side."
