The Prince of Wales discussed how to strengthen disaster resilience and tackle the effects of climate change at the Indian Meteorological Department in New Delhi on Wednesday.
He was also taken on a rickshaw ride with a difference - a silent battery-powered journey.
The driver was a product of a program, run by sustainable transport organisation SMV Green, which is training some of India's first female rickshaw operators.
The prince also joined celebrations of the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak, the Sikh religion founder, at a Sikh shrine to mark the community's contribution in Britain.
He arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday with a thick, grey haze clouding the sky.
The air quality index exceeded 450, considered "severe" and nine times the recommended maximum, according to the state-run Central Pollution Control Board.
The British High Commission says he will meet Indian business leaders in Mumbai Thursday to seek their input on sustainable markets.
