An announcement was made on the Coonamble Rodeo and Campdraft's social media page on March 27, saying that despite cancelling the 2020 event, they will be back next year.
"This year has been pretty rough under the saddle," the Facebook post read.
"Due to the uncertainly COVID-19/Coronavirus has presented, organisers of the Coonamble Rodeo and Campdraft have decided that it is in the best interests of their valued sponsors, contractors, competitors, volunteers and spectators to cancel the event for 2020.
"We'll be back bigger than ever in 2021 to celebrate 65 years. Stay safe, and we'll see you next year."

The Coonamble Rodeo and Campdraft is the biggest of its kind in the southern hemisphere and is held annually over the June Long Weekend.
It attracts thousands of visitors and competitors both regionally and internationally.
The federal government have continued to make further restrictions on public gatherings in recent weeks to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
From March 31, an individual can now be fined $11,000 for leaving their home without a reasonable excuse.
A public health order is now in place to enforce social distancing rules that the NSW Government says will deal with the public health risk of COVID-19 and its possible consequences.
Under the order, a person must not, without reasonable excuse, leave the person's place of residence.
