THE mauling and death of five sheep following an attack by two dogs has left police calling on information from the public.

The attack occurred at a property on the Ilford Sofala Road at Sofala on Thursday, August 20.
"Two dogs attacked five sheep on the property requiring the owner to destroy the sheep due to their injuries," NSW Police state rural crime co-ordinator Detective Inspector Cameron Whiteside said.
"One of the dogs was described as being a rottweiler. The other could not be described."
Detective Inspector Whiteside has called on anyone with information about this incident to call Rylstone Police Station on 6379 1000 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
