The streets of Parkes are looking even safer with a couple of new recruits temporarily hitting the beat for an afternoon.

Budding constables, East Parkes Primary School students Ned Jones and Charlie Rix, celebrated Book Week 2021 at the Parkes Police Station recently.

The theme for book week was 'Old worlds, new worlds, other worlds' with Ned and Charlie both in 3D as SWAT Police.

After finishing school, both SWAT Police attended Parkes Police Station to give the big boys a hand.
