
Forbes Shire Council has scheduled activities for the July school holidays

July school holidays are here next week and Forbes Shire Council has another two weeks of exciting events planned.
For those enjoying a staycation in Forbes, it is an opportunity to take part in some fantastic workshops.
"We pride ourselves on running exciting and comprehensive children's events and programs, it is very important to Council to create fun experiences and opportunities for the youth, who are the future of Forbes, Forbes Shire Council Mayor, Phyllis Miller OAM said.
"Whether you are into art or sport or both, there's something for everyone."
All of these events are provided by Forbes Shire Council and are free of charge.
Due to the nature of many of these events numbers will be limited so get in quick to register.
"We have also included a few events for under nines these holidays to give everyone something to do," Cr Miller said.
Activities include
Floral design with Petal and Co, Monday, July 4
10am Mason jars - under 9, 1.30pm native wreaths - 9+ years
Basketball NSW, Wednesday, July 6
10am: 4.5-9 years girls skills session
11am: 10-18 years girls skills session
1.30pm: 7-16 years holiday camp
Circus school workshop, Friday, July 8
11.30am 6-16 years
Skateboard Deck Painting on Thursday, July 14
10am under 9
1pm 9+ years
Cartoon Drawing on Friday, July 15
10am under 9 years
1.00pm 9+ years
All children under nine must be supervised by an adult.
"All these activities as well as the amazing Ninja Park and playgrounds around town will hopefully be good encouragement to get kids off devices and out enjoying themselves and making new friends," Cr Miller said.
Registration is essential for all workshops.
