It has attracted more than 100 passionate competitors in the past and this year it is hoped similar numbers attend over October 5-7.
The Shorthorn Youth Club of Australia committee are grateful for the generosity of stud breeders and farm owners who have donated heifers and brought heifers to the expo.
"Particularly, the past two years we have been blown away by the support even though breeders are faced with one of the worst droughts seen in Australian history," the committee said.
The expo is open to competitors between six to 25 years.

Participants at this year's event will have the opportunity to participate in workshops, including carcase breakdown, public speaking, auctioneering and beef traceability.
There will also be the animal, parader and junior judging classes, and numerous awards that competitors can nominate for before the event.
An auction will also take place at the expo's dinner dance and is its major fundraiser, with last year raising more than $16,000.
The committee said this was a remarkable result considering the people who donated the auction items and the bidders are going through extreme hardship due to the ongoing dry.

They added that the expo is extremely important to Shorthorn beef members, who even though come from different regions, are like one big family.
"This time once a year, we get to all catch up, have a chat, enjoy each others company and make sure everyone is physically and mentally okay while enduring this drought," the committee explained.
"It is also a special and exciting event because we are doing something for our youth. Our competitors make friends, learn through numerous classes and get to be able to compete and practice in a friendly environment."
